Hello! I'm Julie Jacob, a writer and communications professional in Wisconsin. My professional career has focused on health care communications, primarily the business and technological aspects of health care. I worked for several years as a reporter for the American Medical News and transitioned to corporate communications and worked at various health care organizations such as the ACGME and Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.

I also do occasional freelance writing with an emphasis on articles about veterinary medicine, caregiving, and aging issues, as well as feature stories. My articles have appeared in Chicago Caregiving, Chicago Health, Chicago Tribune, Racine Journal Times, The Rotarian, She, Veterinary Practice News, and more. My freelance writing LLC, Leaping Poodle Communications, is in memory of my first poodle who loved to jump.
